ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Young voters are becoming an important part of the political game.

With social media, candidates are actively trying to get them excited and engaged in politics.

Folks at Darton State College are encouraging it too.

As part of a series titled Celebration of Democracy, campus life will be playing the debate on the big screen for students to go and watch.

Professors will be there as well from the history and political science departments.

Following the debate they will encourage students to have a discussion of their own.

"The goal is to give students the opportunity to engage in the political process, learn about candidates, exchange opinions and come up with their own opinions as well," said Interim Campus Life Director Gill Moura.

The event will be held in the student center, room 252.

on Tuesday, students can register to vote in the student center from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
