ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

South Georgia fashion designers will showcase their latest designs in Albany.

The 5th annual South Georgia fashion week kicked off with a fashion show Friday night at Albany Technical College.

More than 20 designers had models walking the runway.

The theme for the year was "dangerous curves", focusing on the inclusion of full-figured women.

"This whole curvy fashion show or the idea of putting on something for curvy women becomes a metaphor for including those populations that don't often get the attention they deserve," said Alicia Ritchey, fashion show red carpet host.

There will be two more fashion shows on Saturday and one on Sunday at Albany Technical College.

A ticket to attend all of the events costs $20 for adults and $5 for children.
