COOLIDGE, GA (WALB) -

On Friday, the Thomas County Sheriff's Office released a surveillance photo of an armed robber.

They said that the man in the photo robbed the Petro South Quick Stop convenience store Thursday night around 8:45.

The store is located on Japonica Avenue.

Investigators said the robber used a long gun and was wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and a black jacket.

Witnesses said that the man threatened the store clerk with the gun to give him money.

"Pretty Scary, he didn't say he had a gun, he had a gun! We're reaching out to the public anybody who may have some information, or think they know something or saw something. It was around 8:45 p.m. so it's not real late. People were out and about," said Captain Steve Jones, Thomas County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (229) 225-3300.
