Publix job fair attracts hundreds of applicants

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie's new Publix is attracting hundreds of applicants in preparation for its grand opening. 

Thursday's job fair was a success.  

More than 400 applicants showed up at Southern Regional Technical College, looking for an opportunity to join the much anticipated new grocery store. 

The job fair will continue through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

"We're looking for folks that are looking for a part time job, all the way up to a career," said District Manager Keith Gilbert.  "We are a promote from within company, so we're looking for folks that may fit into that." 

Publix will review the applications and set up interviews in the next couple of weeks. 

Walk ins are welcomed or you can schedule an appointment.
