TIFTON, GA (WALB) - More than 100 people showed off their trivia knowledge Thursday in Tifton for the Literacy Volunteers 17th annual Carnival for Knowledge.
It raises money to help people get their GED's and improve their reading skills.
The group's executive director said that 25 percent of adults in Tifton don't have a high school diploma.
"A literate community has a better workforce so it helps the economy of the area," said Literacy Volunteers Executive Director Bonnie Sayles.
The event raised more than $3,000.
