ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Federal Bureau of Investigation believes that the same man robbed banks in Dothan, Alabama and Albany, Georgia, within a three-week period.

On August 18, a man walked into the Wells Fargo Bank on Montgomery Highway, in Dothan, and gave the teller with a note, indicated he had a gun, and demanded money.

On On September 9, a man walked into the People’s South Bank at 701 North Westover Boulevard, Albany, and did the same thing.

The suspect is described as a black man, about six feet tall, wearing an army green hat and shirt. He was seen leaving the bank in a white, older model four door sedan, possibly a late 90’s to early 2000’s Chevrolet Impala.

Surveillance photos of the suspect from Albany and Dothan appear to show the same man, and car.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or the vehicle should contact the FBI Atlanta Field Office at (404) 679-9000.
