ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Changes are coming to downtown Albany this Christmas.
Albany Utilities and the Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority will work together to install new holiday lights downtown.
ADICA will come up with the design and oversee the replacement of the lights, some of which are 25 years old.
"We're really excited about the new lights, and just bringing that whole attraction downtown and having something for families here to really awe about downtown," said City Marketing Manager Monique Broughton Knight.
The cost of the new lights will come out of the Albany Utilities budget.
Officials hope to have the lights up by Thanksgiving.
