EARLY CO., GA (WALB) - The new E-911 center in Early County is just weeks away from opening.
Crews have been working around the clock to get the final touches in place.
The center will serve Early, Randolph and Stewart Counties.
The center has added a handful of new jobs.
Employees have been training on the Motorola software at the center.
"Hopefully we will have good response times by bringing a multi-county system in. Hopefully we will bring a service that everybody is going to be very proud of when we are all said and done with it," said director Matthew Hromalik.
The E-911 center is located behind the Blakely Fire Department.
The official start-date for all the counties to go live is October 5.
