ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Testimony got underway on Wednesday in the trial of a Dougherty County man, charged with shooting his wife in the face.
Artinita Stringer is on trial for aggravated assault, burglary, and gun possession.
On Wednesday, Albany and Dougherty County Police testified that Stringer surrendered at Albany Police headquarters November 1, 2015, saying that he shot his wife by mistake.
Stringer was also charged with breaking into his wife's home.
The trial is expected to continue the rest of the week.
