LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Chick-Fil-A honored our hometown heroes on Monday with a free lunch.
It is one of the many ways Chick-Fil-A representatives say they are giving back to the community.
The free lunch is something the fast-food chain tries to do every year around 9-11.
From 12 a.m. to 3 p.m. military or first responders in uniform were given the free meal.
"This is a way for us to honor those who protect and serve us each and every day in our community. The first responders always respond and just take care of us and we just want to honor them for their service," said marketing manager Cory Holman.
The Albany Square drive thru, as well as the Lee Crossings and Albany mall Chick Fil' A's participated today.
