TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Tift Regional Health System has eight new physicians that have joined its medical staff.

These physicians are coming from all across the country and some from teaching hospitals.

All of the physicians have a different specialty.

The specialties include anesthesiology, hospital medicine, neurology and gynecology..

"Tift Regional has one major goal with the hiring of these new physicians, broadening the specialty cares, easier access for our patients which means shorter wait times to get in and see those doctors," says Monica Morris, director of physician recruitment.

These physicians have already started at Tift Regional.

The hospital is growing and expanding and they hope to hire at least three more physicians before the end of the year.
