DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - One company wants to give Dougherty County students a little more motivation.
Yaz Photography has donated $250,000 to the school system.
Each week, one student from each grade will be rewarded for exhibiting good behavior.
They will get a $100 gift to Yaz's studio.
On Wednesday, the first ten gift certificates were presented to students at Westover High School and Turnover Elementary School.
"It's really cool. My parents will be so proud of me," said student Kevin Jackson.
"We just want to reward the students. And the student does not have to be an honors student. A student that is excelling as an all around student to be a good role model," said Yaz Photography Studio Owner Yaz Johnson.
Yaz is an Albany native and said that it means a lot that he can give back to his city in some way.
