WORTH CO., GA (WALB) - The city of Moultrie is asking for people to be patient as they work to clean up debris from Hurricane Hermine.
The Public Works Department said they're two weeks behind on debris pickup.
They are working hard to sweep streets and collecting limbs, branches and other yard debris.
Property owners can help by stacking debris directly behind curbs on or adjacent to their property.
"The citizens have done a great job putting the debris where it needs to be. We've had drinks carried out to our employees. They appreciate it. We love the citizens in Moultrie, and we want to get this cleaned up as soon as possible," said Daniel Lawson, assistant director.
Yard debris will not be collected if it's mixed with other materials such as paper, plastic or any other material that is not vegetative.
