ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The employees at the Albany Museum of Art got a surprise Wednesday morning.

A mysterious street painter created art some time overnight.

Program Director Chloe Hinton said she was excited to see the work.

Now, it's not considered vandalism.

The museum opened up the free space in June as a way for people to express themselves.

It also goes with the museum's current exhibit Motion Forward that features street art.

Hinton mentions that last night was the first time that someone has worked on the space since its debut.

"They did an awesome job. I love the participation. I love it that somebody wanted to come out here and use it. The creativity made our day. We couldn't have asked for anything better. This is exactly what it is intended for," said Hinton.

The space is open to all artists.

Hinton hopes more people will come out to create their own works of art.
