ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Agents of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit are on the scene of an investigation in the 500 block of 9th Avenue.
They went into the house about 7:00AM, and found the residents asleep. They found prescription pills, possibly heroin, and a stolen firearm.
Agents say a monkey and two dogs were found inside home.
Earl Bridges, 64, and his wife Wanda Bridges, 58, were arrested on drug charges and theft by receiving.
"He's been a consistent problem on 9th Avenue. He's not a young, rookie dealer. He's been in the game for quite sometime," said ADDU Commander Major Pruince Dice.
Agents found Xanax bars, Acetaminophen tablets, and Hydrocodone pills, and a .25 caliber pistol that was stolen from Jones County and more than $2,400.00 in cash.
A monkey and two dogs were found in the residence. The dogs were released to animal control, and the monkey will be released to a family member.
Earl Bridges is in jail for Felony Theft By Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm) and Felony Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Xanax).
Wanda Bridges is charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II controlled substance (Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen).
ADDU says this location has been on their radar for more than five years. Agents were never able to catch Earl and Wanda in the act until today.
