LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

A Lee County evangelist invites you to join him to pray and walk through a neighborhood.

Shane Waller's testimony involves selling and abusing drugs years ago.

As a changed man, he's now doing what he can to uplift the community, and he wants your help.

Waller founded a Christian Ministry called 517.

The Dawson native says God called him to lead these walks.

He's organized two previous prayer walks, the first of which drew a crowd of over 70 people.

Waller says people in the community even joined while the walks were in progress.

"Two different sets of people walked up to us and asked for specific prayer," recalled Waller. "We gathered around them. The women gathered around the woman that came up and the men gathered around the man that came up and we specifically prayed for them."

This Saturday's walk will start at the Indian Oaks subdivision in Leesburg Saturday afternoon at 2.

Check out the 517 Facebook page for more information.
