BLAKELY, GA (WALB) -

An effort to reward kindness in South Georgia is spreading to the flood zone in Louisiana.

Folks in Blakely have being handing out "give kindness" bracelets for a while.

They include messages about being kind and paying it forward.

When you see someone doing something kind, you are supposed to give them their your bracelet.

Those bracelets are being passed out to people helping flood victims in Louisiana.

"So it all brings us together in an effort to make our community a better place to live here in Blakely but also our nation a better place to live," said Kindness Revolution Community Champion Michelle Pickle. "So we thank those people who are making a difference when we can't be there all connected together with kindness."

Pickle says she is constantly ordering more bracelets.

If you are interested in getting some, you can pick them up at the State Farm agency in Blakely.
