BATON ROUGE, LA (WALB) - A couple of south Georgia Red Cross volunteers are still out in Louisiana helping people recover from the disaster.
Mark and Connie Fleetwood from Moultrie are operating an Emergency Response Vehicle serving meals to flood victims, volunteers and emergency workers.
They said Monday's Louisiana Rising concert is an example of the positive spirit the people of southern Louisiana have in the face of so much devastation.
"What you see more than anything else are the neighbors caring about each other and them helping each other. They're very resilient here. I'm always amazed," said Connie Fleetwood.
The Fleetwoods plan to return home this weekend after spending a month in Louisiana.
