Prices may look like they are climbing, but this Labor Day, you are saving at the pump.

According to AAA, Labor Day prices are at their lowest since 2004. Gas prices have increased in recent weeks. The national average for a gallon was $2.22 last week.

But here in Albany, you can buy gas at some stations for less than two dollars a gallon.

Many folks traveling say this is the best place to fill their tanks.

"I mean it's so much cheaper than anywhere else in the state pretty much. I knew Macon would be expensive, so its nice to be able to fill up here, just top off there, and then head back down to Statesboro is going to be great," said Caroline Banks of Statesboro.

Banks says she can always save a few bucks filling up in Albany when she travels on the weekends.
