SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Just in time for the Labor Day holiday, and continuing through September 18, the town of Sylvester is getting a patriotic makeover.

American Legion Post 335 partnered with the Junior ROTC unit from Worth County High School to decorate Franklin Street.

Every patriotic holiday, more than 400 flags are posted, and left up for the remainder of the week.

The street is lined for more than a mile, and the flags cover three intersections.

American Legion Post 335 Commander Ray Humphrey says that the town's support and appreciation makes it all worthwhile

"A lot of patriotic people here, and they're proud of the flags. We get a lot of communication back from them. You know, people telling us how much they love everything that we do, and the flags we put up," said Humphrey.

You can drive through and see the flags for the next two weeks.
