LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - In Lowndes County, Hermine woke up many people in the middle of the night.
Strong winds had limbs flying everywhere.
Downed power lines left 20,000 people in Lowndes County without power Friday morning.
City and county officials have been working tirelessly.
The city said that many people used their Click and Fix app to report damages.
"And it really works very well because it helps us coordinate our work and manage our resources and deal with the highest priorities first. So we really encourage people to do it. It's good for them too, because then they have an absolute record of when he made the report," said City Manager Larry Hanson.
Hanson said that people used it throughout the storm and are still using it when they see damage.
Crews are still working to clean much of the affected areas up.
