WAYCROSS, GA - A woman now faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to concealing a death and exploitation of an elder/disabled adult.
The defendant Diana Jacobs was charged with the death of a nursing home resident back in 2014, and pled guilty to both charges on August 23.
A judge heard statements from Jacobs about the night she buried the victim Alex Hunter in a shed behind Rosewood Manor, and testimony from lead investigator Jamie Hersey.
After reviewing all of the evidence, a judge sentenced Jacobs to serve 10 years for concealing a death. And Jacobs was sentenced to 20 years for exploitation of an elder/disabled adult. Both sentences are to be served concurrently.
Charges are still pending for other defendants involved in the case.
