DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Police credit a clerk's good description of a car and three shoplifters with helping officers make quick arrests.

Jason Douglas, 31, Angela Burke, 51, Brianna Bonner were arrested for theft by shoplifting after a patrol officer spotted their car and stopped them.

Investigators said that a clerk at the Dollar General on South Westover noticed Burke's purse was empty when she came in Tuesday afternoon, but full when the group walked out.

The clerk called 911.

"This is an incident where they gave a good vehicle description. And a description of the people.  And actually the officer who made the stop was having the information radioed to him as he made the stop," said Captain Tommy Jackson with the Dougherty County Police.

Bonner was not jailed because she is pregnant.

The stolen items were returned to the Dollar General.
