ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A man damaged an Albany fire truck by throwing bricks at the windshield over and over. The fire truck sustained a broken windshield and scratched hood in several places.

Jontavious Boone is in the Dougherty County Jail charged with criminal damage to property. Firefighters were doing maintenance work on the station when they heard the attack.

Now the truck is undergoing repairs. "Oh yes, we have reserve trucks. But at the same time we got to take our front line truck out of service for an act like this.  You know it's unfortunate, but we'll be able to handle it," said Albany Fire Chief Ron Rowe.

There is still no estimate how much it will cost to repair the fire truck.
