ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Albany State volleyball has a new-look roster this fall.
Head coach Robert Skinner lost four starters from last year's SIAC runner-up team.
The Lady rams scrimmaged today, and have been practicing all week in preparation for the Tuskegee Spikefest which starts Friday morning.
Skinner admits this year they are under-prepared and inexperienced, but he's hoping this weekend's four matches in Alabama will grow his team together.
"First of all I know they're going to be extremely nervous because most of them are new and this will be the first time they will be on the floor together as a team," said Skinner. "Secondly, I want to see some determination, some desire, and just dedication to what we've been working on."
The Lady Rams first match in the Tuskegee Spikefest will be against LaGrange College at 10 am on Friday morning.
