The Blue Devils have a date with a theme park this week, but first they will play a powerhouse from Colorado.
Tift County is taking its 2-0 record to Orlando to participate in a Thursday night KSA event.
Awaiting them at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex will be Thunder Ridge High school out of Colorado, a team with 3 state titles to their name.
None of the current Blue Devils have made a football trip of this magnitude.
2nd year head coach Ashley Anders said he challenged the team this summer to raise money for the trip, and the players did their part.
"Kids have done a good job, a lot of them have participated," said Anders. "We've done well in raising some money. A lot of these guys wont have the opportunity to do that, so we're going to make a team thing out of it and visit Universal Studios on Friday."
Senior linebacker Cody Thompson is pumped for the journey.
"Coach said it was a business trip," said Thompson. "We're going down there to take care of business. Win on Thursday, go to the park on Friday, have some fun."
Kickoff for the game in Orlando is scheduled for 8:00 on Thursday night.
If you're making the trip, they will be on field 18 at the ESPN world Wide of sports complex.
