ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The trial of an accused gang member charged with robbing a store at gunpoint started on Wednesday in Dougherty County Superior Court.
Kenneth George, 18, is on trial for armed robbery, aggravated assault and street gang terrorism.
He could get life in prison if convicted.
Surveillance video from the Woodall's Convenience Store on North Slappey on March 25, 2015 , shows when three masked crooks with guns robbed the store and customers.
Prosecutors said that the two accomplices with George were 14 and 16-years-old, and they pulled the robbery for gang status.
"The state alleges the case also involves street gang participation. Mr. George allegedly was involved with the Crips street gang, and this was done in furtherance of the gang activity," said Dougherty D.A. Greg Edwards.
The other two teens charged both pled guilty, and are expected to testify in George's trial.
