TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - Officials have not yet released the name of a 34-year-old woman, killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle wreck in Tift County.
Georgia State Patrol troopers say the crash happened on State Route 125 at about 1:20 a.m.
A witness saw the crash and called 911.
Troopers say the woman was driving a Ford Explorer northbound at a high rate of speed and left the roadway, over-corrected trying to get back on the road, and then went into a ditch, causing the vehicle to flip over.
The driver was ejected from the SUV and died at the scene.
The coroner says they want to make sure all relatives have been notified before releasing the name of the victim in the fatal crash.
