DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty County Superintendent is getting recognized on the state level.

Dr. David Mosely was asked to join the State School Superintendent Richard Woods' Superintendents' Advisory Council.

The group is made up of superintendents from different districts in the state.

They will meet at least four times in Atlanta to discuss various issues in the school system.

"It brings a little bit more of positive recognition to our school system that they would happen to think that somebody from Dougherty County has something to offer them and I am glad to be a part of that," said DCSS Superintendent Dr. David Mosely.

Mosely said that he is happy he was asked to serve.

The first meeting will be held in October.
