A new restaurant on Main Street in Thomasville has been the talk of the town.

SoHo opened for lunch Thursday and had a full house.

The restaurant offers southern food with an asian twist.

The owner said the opening wouldn't have been possible without the support of other downtown businesses.

The restaurant is in a century old building that used to be a theater.

Owner's Skyler and Carolyn Cadenhead said they always dreamed of owning a business, and downtown thomasville was just the perfect place.

Lunch began Thursday at 11 am, and since then customers were steadly walking through the door.

The Cadenheads said the overwhelming support from other restaurants here proves Thomasville is a great place to start a business.

"I think that makes it even more of a dream location for us. Just to be part of something like this and you know maybe we will make thomasville the next food destination where people are coming for the great food restaurants downtown. There are more than enough for people to try out," said Carolyn.

For the next two weeks, SoHo will just be serving lunch but after that they will add dinner.

This soft opening process is to help the staff give the customers a great experience while learning at the same time.
