ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Kids spent time learning about alligators Wednesday, some of them even got an up close and personal look.
It's part of Tadpole time at the Flint Riverquarium in Albany.
The event usually lasts for about an hour.
Children can learn about different animals.
This month's lesson was on alligators.
"It's been great exposure for these kiddos to see today's alligators," said mother of two Becca Hoyt. "Today is alligator day so they made some alligator headbands and had the opportunity to touch some alligators so we're really excited."
The next tadpole time at the Riverquarium will be the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays in September.
Next month's theme is snakes.
