ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Funeral arrangements have been made for family members who died in an attack and fire in west Albany.
Two weeks ago, 6-year-old Zakyria Sanders died when police said that her grandmother, Jacqueline Sanders, attacked her and her brother and then set her son's West Doublegate Drive home on fire.
She tried to escape with 7-year-old Jaylan Barr, but the two succumbed to the smoke.
Prosecutors said the woman may have suffered from schizophrenia and may have been off her medication.
Jaylan was laid to rest Saturday in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Zakyria and Jacqueline's funeral will be on Saturday and will also be held in West Palm Beach.
