No bond for Reaves in McAllister murder

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Police Department had been looking for a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting, and Tuesday night, they found him.

APD was searching for Edwin Reaves, Jr. for Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

On Sunday July 17, 43-year-old Malik Hassan McAllister was fatally wounded while in the 1900 block of West Gordon Avenue.

Reaves had his first appearance Wednesday morning in the Dougherty County jail courtroom, on charges of murder, possession of a firearm and knife during commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault, and probation violation. 

No bond was given, but he can apply to superior court for a bond.
