WORTH CO., GA (WALB) - Students in Worth county are being praised for their academic progress.
The system's scores from the 2016 Georgia Milestones assessments showed improvements in 17 of 24 areas.
They also scored above the state average in 3rd grade science and 5th grade English Language Arts.
"As administrators at the district level and at the school level, we provide support and resources to our teachers," said Director of Curriculum and Testing Dr. Amy Chafin. "But ultimately, our teachers and our students are the ones that make the magic in the classrooms."
Georgia school systems started using the new assessment system in the 2014-2015 school year.
