SUMNER, GA -

Folks in Sumner will now have access to a Little Free Library in their neighborhood.

The structure is one of five little libraries around Worth county.

Margaret Jones Public Library Director Leigh Wiley began the initiative to build these brightly-colored libraries around town.

She said the new additions encourage kids and their parents to read more books and more often.

"We went out to the primary school's open house and we were issuing library cards.  I had a family tell me, 'Oh, we don't need a library card.  We use the little library in Warwick," said Wiley.  "They're so proud of it."

The little free libraries hold books for readers of all ages.

Once you take a book, you're encouraged to donate another book in its place.
