A Thomas County High School teacher was recognized by the state for her successful work-based learning program.
Michelle Ausley won the title of "Top Gun" at this summers state training.
She was chosen from a group of 20 teachers who also attending the training.
The school's work program allows students to get class credit and work to make money at the same time.
"If it was not for my students and for Thomas County Central High School I would not be sitting here right now. They are the ones who make this such an A+ program," said Ausley.
Students in the program participate in jobs ranging from teaching in the classroom to helping out with television production.
