EARLY CO., GA (WALB) - Five students in Early County will get to graduate high school with a sizable scholarship.
The REACH Scholarship Program gives students who have academic potential, but lack finances an opportunity to go to college.
Students are awarded the honor in eighth grade and are given the $10,000 scholarship before high school graduation.
The Early County School Board provides $7,500 in scholarship money.
Local organizations and businesses contribute to those funds.
This week -- the Rotary Club wrote a check for one thousand dollars.
"It will help some students pave their path into post-secondary education and hopefully help them build careers in which they can be successful," said Rotary Project Director and Sergeant-at-arms Kyle Kornegay.
School administrators says they are always looking for more organizations to help.
