ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Living with a prosthetic leg isn't the end of the world.
That is the message one man and his family want to share with the community.
Anthony Cody went through nine prosthetic legs before finding the one he has now.
He looked all over the state to find a comfortable one but found no success.
Cody was told walking was the most he was going to do.
But thanks to research, he found a place in Tampa, Florida that made the perfect fit.
"The ones I had before I was limited to just walking but with the one I have now I can run, jump, I play basketball. I can crawl around with the kids. There's no limit to the things I can do now," said Cody.
Cody and his wife hosted an event Saturday at Tift Park to inform others about how they can change their lives.
"We want to let them know that we are here," said Cody's wife Cathy. "We want to celebrate them. We want to come together and let people know that there is more and that there is help right here in Albany Georgia to get them to the more."
