COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - A number of people had the chance to check their health for free Saturday at the Colquitt County health fair.
The friendship missionary Baptist Church hosted the event along with the NAACP and Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Attendees could get a breast or prostate exam as well as a PSA and glucose test.
Others got a look at their blood pressure.
"Some people don't even go to the doctor unless they're sick and sometimes they have lightened life-threatening diseases that they don't even know about so this health fair is designed to help them make them aware that preventative care is the best medicine," said Isabella Brooks, Colquitt Co. NAACP.
People also had the chance to donate blood.
This was the 15th annual event in Colquitt Co.
