ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany location of Logan's Roadhouse closed its doors after a report that the parent company and its affiliates filed petitions with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

According to the manager, the closure is effective immediately.

The signs were removed Thursday morning from the building.

The director of the Albany Convention and Visitor's Bureau said there are other things the city can look forward to despite losing Logan's.

"You know with Logan's leaving it does give us one less steakhouse in town but we have several other choices. And we also have Cheddar's opening real soon. So that gives another restaurant to choose from. From my understanding Cheddar's has a large menu to choose from so it will be a great asset to Albany," said CVB Director Rachelle Beasley.

Beasley also said workers who unfortunately lost their jobs at Logan's could utilize their experience if they applied to Cheddar's, and the restaurant is currently hiring right now.

WALB is working to get a comment from the corporate office.
