The diving competition in Colquitt County is making a serious splash in the county's economy.

Gin Creek Plantation is just one of the many businesses cashing in during the two week AT&T USA National Diving Competition.

Since day one of the competition, Gin Creek Owner Doug DeMott said they've been completely booked.

He said right now, there's a waiting list for a room.

"As divers, as they go through their competition, and maybe didn't make the competition, we have other divers on the waiting list," he said. "And we put them in the house that the previous divers left out of.  So it's just revolving for the two weeks."

DeMott said he's fortunate to benefit from the competition's projected $4 million economic impact.
