AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - A person with a criminal history around south Georgia is behind bars for a weekend burglary in Sumter County.
29-year-old Brondy Jackson was arrested after surveillance video captured pictures of Jackson and his vehicle leaving the scene.
Deputies say it happened sometime Sunday morning at the Carey Harbuck Company on Highway 30. The owner reported several items totaling just over one thousand dollars had been taken from the business.
"He's known to us. He's known to the Dougherty County authorities, Terrell County authorities. He's like 29-years-of age, and been in trouble with the law a long time," said Sumter County Sheriff Pete Smith.
Deputies are working to see if he's connected to either burglaries in the county.
