THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

October is approaching fast and Archbold Hospital in Thomasville is already planning cancer awareness events.

The Oncology center is hosting the 5th annual Pink Affair fashion show.

This year the funds from the event will go towards the breast cancer navigation program.

The program helps patients from the time they are diagnosed to the treatment stages.

"It's very near and dear to my heart and I think its very important to the patients path to recovery, I think all the pieces are important but emotional support is very important," said Navigator Debbie Beeson.
