(WALB) - An alert for drivers in Brooks county for the next few days.
A section of State Route 122 in Barney will close to non-local traffic for railroad track maintenance at a crossing west of State Route 76.
There will be detours in place for drivers.
And if the weather permits, there will be some rolling lane closures around south Georgia this week.
GDOT will have contractors refreshing striping and replacing raised pavement markers in Berrien, Coffee and Terrell counties.
This will help to make safer driving conditions for motorists at night and in inclement weather.
The work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
