DOERUN, GA (WALB) -

Doerun Police need your help to find a man they say broke his way into a convenience store, getting away with lottery tickets and more. The crime was all caught on camera.

It was business as usual at Aden's Minit Market in Doerun today, just hours after a man smashed through the front door.

"It's been years and years since anything like that has happened here," said  assistant manager Elizabeth Ballard.

On Friday at about 3:50 a.m. surveillance cameras caught the burglar walking around the convenience store, waiting for a good time to make his next move.

"And then the last time, he squatted down and smashed it with a small cinderblock piece. The door was smashed and glass was everywhere," said Ballard.

That didn't stop the burglar from rushing in. He jumped the counter and grabbed lottery tickets and cigarettes. No cash was taken.

"I don't think he was looking for it. He knew what he wanted and that's what he came here for," said Ballard.

Within seconds, video shows him running out of the store.

"And I guess at about that time, the alarm got loud and sounded. And he jumped back over the counter and ran back out the door," said Ballard.

Investigators say the suspect was wearing a red or maroon hoodie with AERO written on it.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked call the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office at 229-616-7430.

Ballard says she's grateful none of the employees were at the store when the smash and grab happened, since they usually get in an hour and a half later.

The damage will cost more than $500 to repair.
