MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Southern Regional Technical College has released an app that makes accessing school information easier for students.

The app allows students to access financial accounts, class schedules, and has an alert system for any sort of emergency.

The school says most students use their phone for just about everything so they saw a strong need for an app like this.

"They saw the need and so did we, we had been in talks about it for quite some time. The implementation of it was fairly quick," said Ami Mason, Public Relations, Southern Regional Technical College.

The app is called MySRTC and it is available in the app store.
