Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler has reported that Robert Frank Blackledge was the person who died in a tractor crash on U.S. 19 South Thursday morning.

Blackledge was on a tractor, with a pickup truck behind him for traffic notification.

Investigators say a semi tanker truck owned by Parker Trucking Company, and driven by Michael Green of Bainbridge, rear ended the pickup, flipping it into a ditch, then the tractor trailer hit the tractor. Firefighters had to be brought in to extract Blackledge from the crash.

Dougherty County Police say Wilma McConnell was driving the pickup truck behind the tractor for traffic notification.  McConnell was severely injured, and is in fair condition at the hospital.

Investigators say that Green said he was distracted by cars passing him.

The investigation into the fatal crash is continuing, with charges still pending.
