ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

As the jury was being seated for their trial, an Albany mother and her boyfriend entered pleas to beating and burning a 14 month boy.

Yvonne Ball and Jacob Harvey, Jr. both made pleas for cruelty to children and aggravated battery charges.

Ball plead guilty to seven counts and was sentenced to 25 years, the first 12 to be served in prison.

Harvey made a best interest plea to eight counts, and was given a 25 year total sentence, the first 13 years in prison.

Prosecutors say in January 2012, Harvey and Ball burned her 14 month old son, and fractured his skull.

Now six years old, prosecutors say the boy is recovering well, and is with his father.
