Students in Thomasville now have a new way of getting to and from school.

The system is offering a bus program for the first time for pre-k through 8th grade students.

The school board added funding for the buses to the budget over the summer.

"Were very excited, we've never done this broad busing across our community. But our parents have said its a need and its a need to which we're responding and hope to have a very positive response," said Superintendent, Sabrina Boykins-Everett.
