TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

People in Tift County were working to make sure every student started school with the supplies they needed.

School officials and community partners hosted a Stuff the Bus event on Friday. They packed a school bus outside the Walmart Supercenter in Tifton with supplies such as backpacks, paper, and pencils.

"Our social workers and the kids who came out to help us have been very passionate about the event and the community they have overwhelmed us with the giving they have done today," said Octavia Faulk, Tift Co. social worker.

"I just think you know it's just such a blessing to be able to give back and to be able to be apart of that and with Walmart doing this right here. It just makes it so easy. It's just a great thing," said Jennifer Flickinger.

It's not too late to give. You can find out how to help by visiting their website.
